Olympia, Washington based Death Squad released their debut album ‘Split You At The Seams’ in 1991. Two years later they followed it up with their second album, ‘Driving Blind.’ Sadly, this drinking and driving protest record, (the first of its kind in power metal,) would be Death Squad’s last. Just prior to recording their third album Tom, Erik, Brian and Jerry called it quits, not necessarily from music, but from Death Squad. Drummer Jerry Zeigler sprouted right back out there with the band Fits of Depression, taking them to the pinnacle of punk rock success. Jerry is still performing today now with his latest group, The Stuntmen.

“Driving Blind” is a fast-paced heavy record with the dark delivery of frontman Tom Kisor. Sadly, on November 1st, 2010 Tom Kisor succumbed to cancer. Twelve devastating songs crossing between power and death. Tom was a Northwest legend and will never be forgotten. He appears nightly in the Pig Graveyard (www.pig-records.rocks)! Bassist Brian Sparhawk still performs as well. His current band is Kings. Beware - the Death Squad will be coming to get you if you fail to start listening to them soon. Participation with the frontal ear lobes is the only thing that can save your life.
