about

An absolute classic from the past. Considered to be one of the 100 greatest punk rock albums of all time. Kurt Cobain, Lemmy, Pamela Des Barres, and Jello Biafra all raved about ‘End of Time,’ along with Mauro of Raw Power, Jason of Potbelly, Mort of the Mono Men (a former member), amongst countless others. This 1987 themed album took the world by force. One European reporter reported “the best concept album since Pink Floyd’s The Wall.” Top reviews in Thrasher Magazine, Flipside and Maximum Rock ‘n’ Roll, three very sought-after international publications back in the eighties really helped launch ‘End of Time’ into an international success. Hometown's publications Backlash, The Rocket, and the Subway also chimed in with ten-star reviews establishing The Dehumanizers as a band that Seattle took ownership for.
Infra ED and Zoli of the Dehumanizers had just come out off of their 4500-copy selling 7” record ‘Kill Lou Guzzo,’ unheard of numbers back then and impossible standards to achieve by today's vinyl sales. They added Joe Daut on vocals and Phil Bentz on bass, recorded ‘End of Time’ and the rest is history. Needless to say, ‘End of Time’ dwarfed ‘Kill Lou Guzzo’ interest. By December 31st, 1988 ‘End of Time’ had reached 29000 copies sold worldwide. This 1987 release on Subcore Records, (grandfather to Pig Records,) sold 2000 copies in the US within the first 30 days before being licensed in France by Negative FX/Bunker and eventually consumed by Relativity Media. “Times were good,” recants vocalist Joe Daut. Both Metal Blade Records and Thrasher Magazine also contracted songs from the band. Their accomplishments didn’t end there. In 1991 they were announced as the Foreign Punk Band of the Year in Indonesia. The band still exists today and their fanbases are strong and loyal in the United States, France, Italy, and Indonesia. However, they’d sure like to share their past, present, and future with the rest of the globe!

“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get those crazy rough riders out and get ready to rock. The most exciting new band in show biz today, get out of here Duran Duran, it’s time for the Dehumanizers!” (guest appearance by the legendary Tom Dyer.)
