about

“There a man who resides inside the Channel Seven and his name’s Lou Guzzo and we hate his guts,” declares Mort, “We’ll give you a taste of the real-life!”

THIS RECORD IS AN EXTENDED CRITICISM OF KIRO TELEVISION STATION, ITS BROADCAST POLICIES, NEWS DEPARTMENT, AND COMMENTATOR LOU GUZZO.

“Kill Lou Guzzo, get him now, Kill Lou Guzzo, that’s right!”

This is the full-length re-issue of the bands controversial ‘Kill Lou Guzzo’ seven inch that garnished top honors in Indonesia, winning punk album of the year (1988). Oddly, the front cover art was also awarded a prize, Best Foreign Cover – Canada 1988.

Side one is the 85 version of the ‘Kill Lou Guzzo’ EP unaltered with Mort, Infra Ed, and Zoli. (Infra ED and Zoli are both still active members of the Dehumanizers today. Mort remains in contact.)

Side two is an acid trip recording with the 1987 touring line-up which included Infra Ed, Phil Bentz, Joe Daut, Muddy Watanabe, and Lonnie Troll.

Phil took over on bass for Mort when he left to join the Mono Men. Phil is an active Dehumanizers member to this day, as is Joe Daut, when he’s not confined. Joe assumed Mort’s vocal duties and was a very capable drummer, thus giving Infra ED an opportunity to step out from behind the drumkit and play guitar from time to time. Joe Daut is currently awaiting trial in Las Vegas County Jail for a standoff with the police. He is charged with seven counts of attempted murder of police officers. Funny thing though, they were on his property and executed his dog before he fired a single warning shot. Joe has been incarcerated since July 26th, 2018, and still has not had his trial. None of the seven officers were hurt. Joe suffered lots of physical ailments.

In conclusion, if you can spare four-minutes-and-twenty-eight-seconds, the Dehumanizers will play ‘5 or 6 More Minutes of Noise’ for you, a song that not only shows off the bands sense of humor but is a very deep great funky riff that received rave reviews. In punk we trust! Free Joe Daut.
