about

This is one of those rare and unusual small-town shows turned into a live record. Jason Potbelly of Whidbey Island Washington convinced DOA to cross the border for a one-off show. Joey Shithead and company, in between tours, traveled across the Peach Arch Border crossing in Blaine Washington under the disguise of tourists. They had no equipment with them. Cruising southbound down the I-5 freeway, they turned westerly at Highway 20 before arriving at their gig in Oak Harbor, Washington. Potbelly played in support and then lent DOA their gear. What was supposed to be a hush-hush word-of-mouth-only gig turned into a packed house and one of the most fun nights ever on Whidbey Island. Punks still chatter about it. The parties then released the live performances of both bands onto one 12 inch record. 1000 copies were pressed, with 500 available in the states and the other 500 were snuck into Canada by the dastardly boys of DOA! The Whidbey Island Pyrate Punx deserve a lot of credit for their involvement that evening.
